I love almost every Picasso i have ever seen, and I think the last painting in your blog is one of the most beautiful portraits in the worldanalogerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15225748543093681961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589105760911453392.post-38268673690525176332013-02-07T19:50:00.057-08:002013-02-07T19:50:00.057-08:00Nice blog!

But I think the erotic drawings and watercolors he did in his early 20's are my favorite. They're casual and witty and don't betray any of the (IMO) misogyny of his later paintings of women....larissahttp://www.larissaarcher.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589105760911453392.post-59779354508535108162011-02-01T11:15:49.587-08:002011-02-01T11:15:49.587-08:00I can't help but admire Picasso as a graphic a...I can't help but admire Picasso as a graphic artist. Even when I don't like his work, I am still astounded by his invention and verve.

On another note, the more I dwell upon it, the more merit the conspiracy theory about Picasso's early work seems to have. Where are all Picasso's failed compositions from when he was 15? Or 14? Or 13? Pretty much everything else he does at that age is a portrait with no composition to it at all, let alone the academic compositioning we find in his communion painting.

Composition is the most difficult aspect of art and the thing that requires the most maturity. Let's face it, 15 year olds just don't make their first major composition look like a salon worthy piece without some evidence of a whole lot of practice... or dare I say it, outside assistance. (He wouldn't be the first boy to get a little boost up from a dad with ambitions for him.)kev ferrarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09509572970616136990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589105760911453392.post-80989748560360383712011-02-01T06:46:40.233-08:002011-02-01T06:46:40.233-08:00Off topic, but I think of interest to you:
