So I'm not qualified to give more than a casual opinion regarding a potential Bouché, especially an abstract one. Better sources might be dealers such as Fred Taraba or auction houses such as Heritage Auctions, folks dealing with illustrators.Donald Pittengerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11307228686847434740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589105760911453392.post-28384476981183842222023-04-27T20:40:45.728-07:002023-04-27T20:40:45.728-07:00I have a large abstract oil on canvas with all the...I have a large abstract oil on canvas with all the René Bouché 'licks' except his signature. I'd love to send the image to you for your opinion, if I may. (I'm not looking for an appraisal.) I'd studied that delicate, nuanced drawing years ago but this is the first time I've seen the original close enough to understand that Benny's head was spliced onto that body, and how the face had to be reworked. A lot of huffing and puffing went into that "casual" looking drawing.David Apatoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11293486149879229016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589105760911453392.post-9440615867063481652011-03-07T06:02:57.370-08:002011-03-07T06:02:57.370-08:00Pretty good, except the Audrey Hepburn one; she...Pretty good, except the Audrey Hepburn one; she's portrayed as stopping the traffic with her hand rather than her looks.deariemenoreply@blogger.com
